What is the most important prerequisite for effective learning? It's feeling well. Feeling appreciated. Feeling welcome. Feeling happy. Feeling relaxed.
Therefore, for me as a German teacher, making and enabling the participants of my German courses (to) feel welcome, appreciated, happy, relaxed and well, is a top priority. How do I achieve this? Well, first of all, I simply do appreciate the participants of my German classes. I am genuinely happy to see them every time they come to class. Each and every one of them. I am happy to spend time with them.
Furthermore, I create an atmosphere of acceptance. In the groups, that learn German with me, everybody feels accepted and is an important part of a team. We learn German together. Therefore, everybody is important and equal. And I, the German teacher, am not the star of the show. The participants of my German courses in Munich are the stars of the show. I am just their coach, their feel-good-manager.
How do I make the participants of my German classes in Munich feel good? I make the room look good. I ventilate the room regularly, because enough oxygen is crucial for effective learning. I provide a fragrance, that makes the room smell good. It's a fragrance, that supports concentration, motivation and relaxation:
I create a nice, relaxing, comfortable atmosphere, that also supports concentration, by playing a unique playlist of gentle music in the background.
If possible, I start my German lessons in Munich with a little relaxation exercise, that helps the participants of my German classes in Munich relax, focus and look forward to learning German.
